  • Car Dealership

Went to a dealership the other day to take a look at a car.

The place was absolutely deserted. Hardly any cars on their lots (which is weird, since it's a dealership; they're usually stuffed with cars on their lots), and I appeared to be the only customer there. It felt like a ghost town almost, and I definitely felt awkward being the only customer.

There were about 2 sales people there, and some managers, and you can definitely tell that the morale is low. It's definitely a completely different experience compared to 2 years ago when I was last at a dealership when they were usually stuffed with 30-50 customers there at any given time.

Also, it was interesting because most of the cars they sold were to customers from out of state (mostly east coast). They were offering $8k-10k off MSRP prices (up to $5k-7k under invoice even) and still had trouble selling cars. I guess it's *that* bad right now in California...
